Creation of artistic presentation (show) using the human buttocks as an instrument of percussion.

The buttocks (popularly known in Brazil with the name of ”Bunda”) in different sizes will be a mixture of different groups (White / Caucasian, Black / African, Brazilian / Mulatto) as representations of ethnic groups.

It will also be a mixture of male and female as equal representation between men and women. Percussionists are also of different races / ethnicities and gender.

Opera / concert / artistic work is a eulogy of “bunda a pandero” as metaphorical representation of “tambourine“ which has no gender, size or color/race, but is defined perfect just from the sound that it makes (like the instrument “pandero”).

“Just a piece of beauty and an element that unites the whole world.”

The opera use the artist language; using a familiar symbol of the streets and the world to communicate a social situation.

Carlo Sampietro, artist born in Italy in 1975.Since 2004 He has been working and developing his artistic career in New York. He is a production designer, conceptual artist and winner of several design awards.Nestled in the huge New Yorker City, he has been inspired by the “soul” of the city. In his new daring project “Popdogs” he confronts the issue of dog overpopulation in cities all over the world. Carlo starts the critique dialogue in New York, and it goes on in cities as Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Shanghai, where he will shows the project.

Carlo Sampietro, artista nacido en Italia en 1975. Lleva años trabajando y desarrollando su carrera artística en Nueva York. Diseñador artístico, artista plástico y con ceptual, y ganador de numerosos premios de diseño. Asentado en la enorme urbe neoyorkina, ha sido inspirado por el “alma” de la ciudad. En su nuevo e intrépido proyecto, “Popdogs”, hace crítica de la prob lemática de la superpoblación de los perros en las urbes del mundo. Carlo parte de Nueva York pero proyecta su crítica a enclaves como Paris, Río de Janeiro y Shanghai, donde se presentará el proyecto.
